Aligning Risks and Rewards - Designing an effective incentive scheme

Mudara IOD and SCCO International, with the support of the Hawkamah, The Institute of Corporate Governance held a breakfast on March 22,2011. The seminar provided several perspectives on the topic. At first, a regulatory perspective on incentive schemes was provided which created transparency on the boundaries of designing and implementing a variable compensation. The next perspective took a view at incentive schemes as the essential component in every steering system and demonstrated an entrepreneurial approach to reward senior management in line with shareholder's expectations. The last perspective - a case study - covered the design and implementation of an incentive scheme at company within the UAE.
